Roxanne Visser has been appointed Sales & Events Coordinator at Alexandra Park.
She has previously held positions as an operations manager and sales consultant in Auckland and brings overseas experience in the conferencing and event industry.
Wealth of experience
Ms Visser has been Senior Wedding & Function Coordinator for Tres Jolie Wedding Venue in South Africa. She has also project managed health and wellness events and was Conference & Event Co Coordinator at the Cabanga Conference Centre in South Africa.
“My career started off in events and so the opportunity to get back into the industry really appealed to me. What’s more, I have always had an interest in racing having grown up on a stud farm in South Africa. This role at Alexandra Park ticks a lot of boxes including working with a great team,” she said.
Themed Events
Her responsibilities include running the Friday Night race night themed-events such as the upcoming Mid-winter Christmas parties and Christmas at the Races in November and December.
Positive reflection
Sales & Marketing Manager Joel Reichardt said that the appointment is yet another positive reflection on Alexandra Park’s successful functions and events business.
He said that Ms Visser’s experience in weddings will also be invaluable given Alexandra’s great reputation in hosting weddings particularly large ones.
“Roxanne brings a passion for customer service and has plenty of experience in working in a fast-changing and multi-tasking environment with numerous and competing deadlines. Her excellent communication and organisational skills are already being put to good use given all that’s happening at Alexandra Park over the coming months,” he said.
Mid-Winter Christmas Parties
Alexandra Park’s popular Mid-winter Christmas parties are selling out fast. The evenings will be held over four consecutive Friday race nights on 22 and 29 June and 6 and 13 July.
