More than 40 members of the staff at ASB Bank will take to the stage at the Auckland Diwali 2017 Festival on October 14 and October 15, 2017.

The staff will perform at the main stage at Aotea Centre on two nights of one of the largest events organised by Auckland.

The staff have been rehearsing every weekend for the last several months with the involvement of their family and friends to create street and main stage performances that are now a part of Auckland Diwali 2017.

The ASB performance group recruited external choreographer Kesha Surti from Khottey Sikkey to help create the dance.

Overwhelming commitment

ASB’s Mohit Kumar has driven the ASB performance, and has been overwhelmed with the commitment from the group.

ASB Head of Community, Sponsorship and Events Mark Graham said that ASB is pleased to support the Auckland Diwali Festival for the third successive year.

“ASB is proud to once again be involved in the Auckland Diwali Festival. Bringing the bright lights and vibrant colours of India to the diverse Auckland community, the festival has established itself as a special date in Auckland’s cultural calendar.

“We are delighted to see ASB staff of many different nationalities taking their enjoyment of the festival one step further by getting involved in the Auckland Diwali Festival ASB staff performance,” he said.

Hunt, Snap and Win

Festival-goers will be invited to Hunt, Snap and Win with ASB at this year’s Auckland Diwali Festival. Posters will be scattered throughout Aotea Square and, using a mobile game, players will be invited to take photos of the posters to see if they have won the prize.

ASB and Diwali

ASB believes it is important to understand and reflect the diverse range of people who bank and work with ASB, and the communities in which it operates.

ASB is proud to embrace diversity, acknowledging its people and customers come from diverse backgrounds and bring a wide range of skills and experiences to their jobs.
