In their citation of the ‘Best Businesswoman of the Year Award 2016,’ the independent Panel of Judges of the Indian Newslink Indian Business Awards paid tributes to Ashima Singh, explaining why she deserved the honour.
“Ashima Singh is a founder and was recently approved as a Full Partner in Legal Associates, a young Papatoetoe based law firm. Ashima heads the Property and Commercial Law side of the business and has been responsible for exceptional practice growth, developing quality systems within the practice, and building a team of legal experts who cater to the many ethnic groups in South Auckland.”
Dream and Determination
Ashima said that her long-cherished dream was to become a successful lawyer.
“I was determined to become a professional with admission to the Bar, and with the support of my husband, family and colleagues, I have been blessed to have my success acknowledged.”
“I was also highly honoured to receive the ‘Best Businesswoman of the Year Award.’ I was proud to have been recognised for my efforts and the hard work of the Legal Associates Team in the past year,” she said.
“The Award came (on November 27, 2016) just two days after I was appointed as a Partner at Legal Associates (on November 25, 2016). This was an indication of a great phase in my life with the support of my family, associates, colleagues and clients.”
