Auckland Tamils to mark New Year

The just born Auckland Tamil Association has announced that it will mark the Tamil New Year Day on April 18, 2015.

The event will be held at Wesley Community Centre, 740 Sandringham Road Extension from 1130 am followed by lunch.

Association President Vai Ravindran said that his Association aims to promote South Indian culture through language, music and drama.

“We also plan to organise social and sports events to foster fellowship among members and the wider community. The Association will participate in community services, interact with other cultural groups and contribute to other multi-ethnic activities that promote South Indian culture,” he said.
