Awards Night nears!

Venkat Raman –

There is mounting excitement and expectation among the participants, sponsors, advertisers and readers as the Indian Newslink Indian Business Awards Presentation Night gets closer.

The Awards Presentation Programme, eighth in an annual series, will be held on Monday, November 23, 2015 at Sky City Convention Centre in Auckland City.

The event will commence at 5 pm with cocktails, networking and exhibition of sponsors at the Marlborough Rooms and the Promenade.

This will be followed by entertainment, dinner, speeches and Awards Presentation.

Michele Pickles, who is known to New Zealanders as a Sports Reporter and Television Programme Presenter, will be the Master of Ceremonies.

She will add value and elegance to the Awards Night, which is hailed as an event to attend, remember and discuss at company meetings and social gatherings.

There is a single objective that has been the sine quo non to our Awards Scheme – to recognise and applaud Indian businesses in New Zealand for their excellence in retail, innovation, marketing, customer service, information and computer technology and large, medium and small businesses.

The Awards also recognise individuals excelling in their individual professionals as Best Accountant, Best Financial Advisor, Best Young Entrepreneur and Best Businesswoman.

“These Awards sound great and I look forward to my role as the Master of Ceremonies,” Ms Pickles said from England where she was reporting on the All Blacks, the preparation for the Rugby World Cup 2015 and the Big Day itself.

She has observed and perhaps imbibed the values of multitude of cultures during her frequent travels abroad.

“I believe that the education we get while travelling is just as important as the formal education we get in schools and universities. This is especially true when we come from such a small and isolated country like New Zealand.  Travelling has made me the person I am today – I believe that I am a better person now than I would have been without all those wonderful experiences,” Ms Pickle said.

Ministers, Opposition Leader, Auckland Mayor, and Members of Parliament will be present at the Awards Night which will witness a gathering of about 1100 persons.

Among them would be manufacturers, retailers, restaurateurs, exporters, business consultants, bankers, investment advisors, accountants, lawyers, engineers, healthcare givers, finance companies, finance and insurance brokers and other service providers.
