Ayurveda removes barriers to healthy life

/filWe need a holistic approach to health and should not allow anyone to suffer for lack of planning and care. New Zealanders deserve quality healthcare.

Planet Ayurveda is a Wellness Centre providing a comprehensive range of treatments and services.

Ayurvedic treatment is recommended for almost any ailment.

Universal treatment

Those suffering from arthritis, asthma, bronchitis, cancer, chronic fatigue, diabetes, heart problems, high blood pressure, liver problems, migraine or simple hay fever can seek treatment. Ayurveda can provide answers to even mental problems such as depression, stress, anxiety and insomnia.

New Zealanders from across the country and clients from Australia, Fiji, Tahiti, New Caledonia, Germany, Italy and US are among the regular visitors to Planet Ayurveda.

Holistic approach

Ayurveda is one of the oldest systems of healing and known for its holistic approach to wellness. It is the fastest growing health modality among people keen to restore their wellbeing by correcting the cause of the problem rather than just masking the symptoms. Even though Ayurveda originated in India, it is now embraced by all cultures and creeds.

Unfortunately, many of us consider Ayurveda to be just a dispensary of herbal remedies but this undervalues the great strength of this ancient form of medicine that provides us with powerful tools to live our lives in balance and health.

Ayurveda teaches that health problems such as asthma, diabetes, arthritis, skin ailments, depression and many others are a direct result of our inability to follow a lifestyle and diet that is compatible with our own unique bodily intelligence.

Ayurveda also teaches that as long as our body intelligence is in balance, the body has the ability to flush out the build up of toxins that accumulate on a daily basis due to our hectic, busy and stressful lifestyle.

Wellness programmes

Planet Ayurveda offers various wellness programmes. Among them are the following:

Shirodhara, the most trusted Ayurvedic treatment for stress, anxiety and insomnia; Kati Basti for musculo-skeletal ailments like back pain, sciatica and frozen shoulder; De-toxification and rejuvenation programmes for ailments such as asthma, arthritis, diabetes, PMS, menopause, hormonal imbalances and skin problems.

During the first consultation, we structure a programme that will not only help you to correct the problems you suffer from but also allow you to live your life in balance and health. Following are the comments of a few clients.

I have suffered from chronic IBS problems to the extent that I was scared to leave my home. Under the guidance of Dr Ajit, my lifelong problem has gone. My life has changed- Sandra, Auckland

I was never an advocate of Ayurveda but after suffering for years with my problem of depression and indigestion, the Ayurveda programme structured by Dr Ajit has changed my life. He has also helped my children, who were suffering from long-term cough and skin problems- Gowri, Auckland

For some months now, I have been religiously following some simple lifestyle practices advised by Dr Ajit. These practices have made a profound difference to my overall health. There is a deep inner relaxation supporting unbroken, restful sleep. I have had a complete cessation of any menopausal symptoms. There has been 90% reduction of inflammation in my hands and I feel an inner calm that is helping me keep my mind clear to face the on-going challenges and decision-making Donna, Christchurch

My back pain and disk problems were so severe that I was advised surgery. Instead, the Kati Basti programme structured by Dr Ajit at Planet Ayurveda has helped me immensely. Like many others, I was pushed to Ayurveda by my family. But after experiencing the results, I can say that there is no parallel to this treatment of all musculoskeletal problems- Jatin, Auckland
