Featuring her in our ‘Model of the Fortnight’ column in our February 1, 2014 issue, we had said that she is a vivacious young woman; that her zeal for life is almost contagious; and that for her exuberance is symbolic of the crowns that she wears with passion.
Those words could have a resounding effect, for, as you read this report, Dr Amreeta Goundar would have landed in Dubai to participate in several rounds of the ‘Miss India Worldwide Contest.’
A qualified chiropractor by qualification and profession, she recently established her clinic called ‘Chiropractic Essence’ in Manukau, which in fact epitomised her mission and passion in life.
“My journey in life has so far been a wonderful and fun-filled experience. As a registered doctor, I look forward to promoting health and wellbeing of the wider communities,” she had said.
Amreeta is in the United Arab Emirates as the New Zealand representative, having won the Miss Indianz title at the national contest held in Auckland on September 14, 2013.
“I am thrilled to participate in the 23rd Miss India Worldwide’ which promises to be an exciting event. The six-day programme will include a host of activities such as catwalk training, interviews, cocktails, dinner and the finals that will be held at Al Raha Beach Hotel in Abu Dhabi on June 20,” she said.
Amreeta will also have plenty of time to visit the huge malls and hypermarkets in Dubai, the shoppers’ paradise. As she takes part in the ‘Talent Night’ at the Crystal Ball Room of Hyatt Regency in Dubai as a prelude to the mega final, she would be receiving a host of text messages and phone calls from her friends back home.
“I look forward to the once-in-a-lifetime experience of being under the spotlight on an international stage, hoping to bring back something to my home country. I am grateful to everyone who made my trip possible,” Amreeta said.
Expressing her gratitude to Dharmesh Parikh of Reshab D Parikh Productions who organised Miss Indianz contest, her family and friends, she said that she was looking forward to the support and assistance of Sukhvinder Kaur, the new National Director (New Zealand) of Miss India Worldwide.
Indian Newslink wishes her good luck.
