Business Awards make the right connection

Making the right connection and building a relationship of trust with partners that are committed to integrity are the hallmarks of a recent agreement made at the Indian Newslink Indian Business Awards (INL IBA) presentation ceremony.

One of the less visible benefits of being involved in the Awards is the exposure to a group of talented, experienced and well-connected business people from multiple industries and geographies.

From this environment, opportunities abound.

Good networking

One such example is two companies that met via a connection made at the INL IBA three years ago. Discussions on the opportunity, a period of due diligence and preparatory market evaluation soon followed.

This professional approach has resulted in an agreement between the two companies that promises to earn significant revenues for both.

We are pleased to announce that CMC India has signed an agreement to represent our Company in India. This is a major market for Talkingtech to provide its high quality customer contact strategies.

CMC will provide Infrastructure and Sales & Support for Customers using the Talkingtech systems in India, with technical and other assistance from us. The New Zealand connection is Talkingtech Limited, an interactive voice messaging company.

Range of solutions

The company’s technology is primarily designed to send voice messages to large customer bases. It offers a range of solutions that help clients collect debt and overdue items, undertake marketing campaigns, complete surveys and gather data.

Talkingtech provides tailored solutions to suit a client’s brand, market and needs. It has a proven record of consistently helping customers save time and money, increase revenue and enhance customer relationships.

Established in 1986, Talkingtech provides services to a wide range of services to major Mobile, Telecommunications, Finance, Insurance and Utility companies all over the world. It is a New Zealand Company, with offices in Australia, North America, South Africa and UK.

The Indian sub-continent was an attractive market due to its size and growth rate, but entry into a country with such complexity and diversity looked daunting. There was a need for a partner who reflected our values, had a customer base in the right area and the competence to sell and deploy the systems in India.

The connection was made at the INL IBA, and the process towards agreement began.

We are delighted to have such a partner prepared to offer the commitment and resources required for a major market entry plan.

Great Partner

Incorporated in 1975, CMC Ltd is a leading System Engineering and Integration company in India and a subsidiary of Tata Consultancy Services Limited, Asia’s largest software company.

Operating out of 18 offices and 180 service locations in the country, CMC employs over 10,000 people and has a wholly-owned subsidiary in US, called ‘CMC Americas Inc’. CMC’s vision is to operate globally and bring the benefit of information technology to improve productivity and quality of the products and services of its customers. CMC combines horizontal expertise in Information Technology with its vertical experience developed by working in a wide range of industries.

There was a values match between the two organisations.

Charitable Foundation

Talkingtech has a number of charitable investments in education, health and other services in India.

Talkingtech has a firm foundation, built on looking after people first. Whether it is a client or a staff member, the founder has endeavoured to instil the principle, “If you look after the people, the people will look after the business.”

Talkingtech Foundation was a natural progression to extend the original vision of the Company, which was to focus on people, in particular the less fortunate.
