If the report hereunder resembles that of our feature in Indian Newslink February 15, 2015 issue, it is meant to be so; for, only the year changes but the passion for community service and more importantly, raising funds for a Complex that serves as a Temple and Community Centre, gets stronger by time.

That is indeed true of Aucklander Nadesan Nanthakumar who sets on a musical journey in February, collecting not just milestones but money for a Temple.

Sincere work

As we have mentioned earlier, he meticulously works to reach his self-assigned targets in life, career and the community, in that order.

As well as circulating and updating events conducted by various Indian, Sri Lankan and other organisations to people on his extensive database, he took upon himself last year to organise musical events in aid of the ‘Thirumurugan Temple’ of the New Zealand Thirumurugan Temple Society, located at 145 Church Street in Otahuhu.

The first two legs of the ‘Musical Journey,’ witnessed in 2014 and 2015 collected $16,500 to the Temple, encouraged by which Mr Nanthakumar has planned a similar event next weekend.

Called, ‘Musical Journey: Beats & Melodies,’ the programme will be held at Auckland Normal Intermediate School Hall on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 6 pm.

Tickets are now on sale, details of which can be obtained from Mr Nanthakumar on 021-1829381. Email: musicaljourney@hotmail.co.nz
