Elders and children get a festive taste at Bhartiya Samaj

Elders and children were at the core of Christmas and New Year celebrations organised by Bhartiya Samaj Charitable Trust in Auckland last fortnight.
The first of these, held at India Gate Hall in Papatoetoe on December 3, 2018, was in honour of the Senior Members of the South Auckland Branch of the Samaj.
As well as Meet and Greet and Dinner, the event included an entertainment programme.
Bal Vikas Children
Children of Bal Vikas Language and Cultural classes enjoyed a fun-filled party on December 9, 2018. The Programme included games, quizzes, Secret Santa and Christmas crafts. Among the highlights was a demonstration of the significance of Christmas and Christmas Carols, accompanied by a quiz programme.

Multi-Play Group
Mothers and children of the Bhartiya Samaj Charitable Trust Multicultural Play Group, the Christmas Party held at the Activity Hall of the Samaj at 13 May Road in Mount Roskill was memorable, filled with festive atmosphere.
Members of the Senior Citizens Group of the Samaj were treated to a Festive Special at Mt Roskill War Memorial Hall on December 14, 2018.
More than 200 seniors attended the event with Members of Parliament Michael Wood (Labour), Dr Parmjit Parmar (National), India’s Hon Consul to Auckland Bhav Dhillon, Bhartiya Samaj Patron Dr Bruce Hucker and Auckland District Court Judge Ajit Singh.

Abhishek Sharma who was in Auckland as a part of his World Bicycle tour promoting ‘Climate Change and World Peace,’ was honoured at the event.
