We are happy to announce that entries to the Indian Newslink Indian Sports Awards will open on December 15, 2013.
The last date for submitting entries to various categories is February 28, 2014.
A panel of judges, independent of this newspaper, will evaluate the entries and announce the names of finalists and winners at a Gala Awards Presentation Ceremony and Dinner, scheduled to be held at Alexandra Park, Greenlane, Auckland on Wednesday, April 9, 2014. Details of the Awards Night will be announced later.
Entries will be judged based on the player performance and achievement in 2013.
There are 14 categories including Soccer (Under 19, Senior Division and Veteran), Hockey (Best Male Player and Best Female Player), Rugby League, Rugby Union, Golf, Cricket (Under 21 and Senior), Netball, Boxer, Special Award for Young Achiever Male and Special Award for Young Achiever Female.
Winners in each of the categories will automatically be entered for the Best Sportsman of the Year and Best Sportswoman of the Year Awards.
