It is with great pleasure that I welcome all teams, their officials, sponsors, invited guests, supporters and match officials to the 15th SM Singh and Billy Singh Memorial Cup Tournaments. I also extend a special welcome to families who have travelled from abroad or outside Auckland.
I would like to pay our tribute to all teams for their participation, fellow- executives and our 2014 organising Committee for their preparation.
I would like to acknowledge all the eight teams who participated in our first Tournament in Avondale in 2000. These teams are still participating and their members have continued to play or volunteered their services in our Committee over the years.
I have enjoyed involvement with the Veterans Tournament for the past 13 years. Being the Chairperson for the past four tournaments, I look forward to addressing the challenges and delivering a safe and successful SMS Singh and Billy Singh 2014 matches.
With your continued support, we remain optimistic that our Tournament will continue to thrive for many years to come.
