Fresh products appease growing clientele

Supermarkets, superettes and dairies dealing in products imported from Fiji are fast becoming favourites of people of Indian origin and other ethnic groups.

‘Pacific Taro and Caterers for Everyone’ is among the retail outlets that offer quality products and services, attracting people from near and far.

Director Dron Prasad established the retail outlet in 2010 to compliment the success of the parent company D&S Wholesalers, which has been in business for the past seven years.

Fresh produce

Fresh fruits and vegetables are among the items that are on demand every day of the week. Mr Prasad endeavours to bring these as many times as possible from Fiji to foster customer satisfaction.

“While vegetables from Fiji always find ready customers, there are occasions when these will not be available, either due to floods in Fiji or flight schedules. We will do our best to cater to the tastes and preferences of our people,” he said.

“We are proud of our range of products, which include Fiji taro, crabs, fish and a variety of vegetables. I believe that our success has been due to the patronage extended by our customers.

“Genuine Fiji crabs are always in demand and we try to import large ones. ‘Pacific Taro’ caters to customers from all over Auckland,” he said.

Mr Prasad said that his company was planning to import larger quantities of all products in his range for the ensuing festive season, including Diwali.
