From Family Law to Violence, Seminars explain all

Auckland Community Law Centre is conducting five seminars to educate people on a number of issues as a part of its Free Legal Education Series.

The Seminars will be held on Wednesdays of this month from 10 am to 12 pm at Tasman Building, 16-22 Anzac Avenue in the Auckland Central Business District.

September 2

The first of these covering Civil Issues such as Consumer and Debts, Traffic Accidents and Disputes Tribunals will be conducted by Redmond Kirwan Jones, a senior lawyer from Haigh Lyon.

September 9

Youth Rights in Aotearoa will be the broad theme of the Seminar on September 9, 2015. The subjects covered would include Youth Rights and International Law, Education Rights and when can it be removed, The Rights of Students with Special Education Needs and the Youth Justice System.

September 16

Family Law topics such as Changes to the Family Court System, Care of Children, Children, Young Persons and Their Families and Domestic Violence will be conducted by Barrister Stephanie Larkin on September 16.

September 23

Ngarongo Ormsby, Registered Mediator, Counsellor and Addiction Practitioner will be in charge of the Seminar on September 23 under the theme, ‘Alternate Dispute Resolution,’ discussing the following topics: Family Court Mediation, Facilitating Change and Counselling for Positive Relationships.

September 30

‘Minimum Employment and Tenancy Rights’ will be the subject of the Seminar on September 30, 2015.
