Global contest features beauty and brains

New Zealander Shiona Ram won the ‘Miss Beauty with Brains’ title at the ‘Indian Princess International’ pageant held in Mumbai on March 8.

The glittering event, incorporating the ‘Indian Princess’ contest, was held at Hotel Tulip Star commemorating ‘International Women’s Day.’

Jannaatul Peya (Bangladesh) won the ‘Indian Princess International’ title, while Michelle Haukes of Suriname and Michelle Naidoo of South Africa were declared First and Second Runners-Up respectively.

Shiona was the First Runner Up at the Miss Indianz 2010 organised by the Reshab D Productions.

The event in Mumbai featured a number of celebrities including Hindi film star Karisma Kapur and performances by Prachi Desai and the Group, ‘Firangis.’

Sharon Fernandes was the winner of the Indian Princess title with Deepti Sati and Manpreet Kaur as the First and Second Runners-Up.

Indian Princes International Limited Chairman Sunil Rane said the contestant represented several countries including Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bhutan, France, India, Malaysia, Nepal, Netherlands, New Zealand, Qatar, Singapore, Sri Lanka, South Africa and Surinam
