The New Zealand Branch of the Global Organisation of People of Indian Origin has announced the results of a raffle draw held at Sangeet Restaurant in Manukau on June 12, 2011.
Mt Roskill Community Constable Glen Green, who runs ‘There is a Better Way,’ a community organisation, picked the following winners:
First Prize: Cheryl Jacobusen– 50” Panasonic Plasma TV
Second Prize: Ravi Mehta– i-Pad
Third Prize: Arthav Saluja– Mystery Weekend for two persons
Fourth Prize: Phil Evans– Weekend Stay with breakfast at Stamford Plaza
Fifth Prize: Avneel Rohit– Dinner for four ($200) at Sangeet Restaurant
GOPIO sold raffle tickets hoping to collect $12,000 to fund the purchase of a $160,000 Ambulance for St John’s.
GOPIO President Rakesh Gupta announced that the amount collected was $7000 through various chapters of his organisation.
