Graduate makes a start with marketing services

A young entrepreneur, just out of the university, has already established a booming business in the advertising and marketing industry, selling his services in the digital industry, with visions of reaching greater heights in his career through worldwide operations.

Pravin Daryani set up ‘ApeForest,’ a marketing agency that works with companies involved in developing digital products including software, mobile applications, e-books, movies and music.

“I am pleased that market response has been enthusiastic and we are now working with some of the biggest names in the industry. ApeForest has won contracts to handle the entire marketing operations of multi-million dollar companies,” he said.

New service

Pravin is currently working on a new service called, ‘ContentForest,’ which he said was an offshoot of a marketing process.

He said that adding value to his products and services has been a great motivating factor in all his activities.

“I feel a sense of achievement when I create things that achieve results in the real world. I am not sure of the so-called ‘end vision’ of my achievements, but I have an open mind which allows me to tap potential and opportunities.

“I have been lucky to achieve some success and to pursue my passion. I am constantly attempting something new,” he said.

A graduate in commerce from Mumbai, Pravin launched his career as an employee in his native Mumbai, although he showed proclivities towards establishing his own business from his formative years.

New Zealand helps

His attempts to become an entrepreneur were futile but he did not give up hope.

He arrived in New Zealand in 2009 to pursue a postgraduate diploma in Business at the Waikato University, followed by a graduate diploma in Computer Science at the Auckland University of Technology.

He worked as a freelancer while at the University and thereafter joined an advertising agency in Christchurch as a Project Manager before launching ‘ApeForest’ this year.

Reading is his addiction and says that he ‘consumes’ at least three audiobooks every week since he as 18 years old.

“DVDs and audiobooks are a great source of knowledge,” he said.
