Greetings from Us

The Holy Month of Ramadan is one of the most important and interesting periods in the Islamic Calendar. In many parts of the Islamic world, Muslims turn day into night and night into day during this period.

Eid celebrations that commence on the first day of ‘Shawwal’ follow the end of the Holy Month of Ramadan, are shared not only by Muslims but also by other communities and faiths.

Men, women and children would don new clothes, attend Mosques for special prayers and lectures and visit relatives and friends to exchange greetings and gifts.

Community Service

Eid festivities would also denote service to the community, help to the poor and needy and programmes to foster the fraternal bond between Muslims and people of other faiths throughout the country.

Indian Newslink takes pride and pleasure in presenting this small Special Report marking Eid-Al-Fitr. This feature carries a collection of articles written by our team of contributors and reporters, along with messages of greetings and advertisements announcing specials for the shopping public.

Greetings from Us- Eid Mubarak

We are confident that New Zealander Muslims will continue to preach and practice tolerance, respect other religions and most important of all, have a true sense of belonging to the country and its people.

We extend our sincere greetings to our advertisers, readers and well-wishers in New Zealand and rest of the world on the occasion of the end of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
