High Commission lifts OCI fees

Staff Reporter –

High Commission lifts- OCI CardThe Wellington based Indian High Commission has announced an upward revision in the fees charged for services related to Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI).

A notification issued last week said that the one-time fee of issue of OCI card will now be $405, up from $365.

For reissue of OCI cards in lieu of loss or damage would cost $150 per card, an increase of $10 from the existing $140.

Miscellaneous Services related to OCI (transfer of permanent visa sticker for example) will be charged at $45 per service, compared to $40 prior to the revision. The revision is stated to have been necessitated by the overall rise in demand for services and merger of the Person of Indian Origin Card (PIO) with OCI. The revision is also in line with fees charged by other Indian missions located throughout the world.
