His Great Work must go on

Millions of people around the world are mourning the loss of Sathya Sai Baba, who died on April 24, 2011 at the Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences, which he established in Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh.

Among them are Heads of State, Prime Ministers, politicians, Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Jews and even non-believers.

From his formative years until his death aged 85, ‘Bhagawan’ Baba dedicated his life to the cause of the suffering masses, be they poor with no financial resources or rich with no mental peace. He provided appropriate assistance to the former and offered solace to the latter.

The enormity of projects that he undertook and projects, which no government could visualise or complete with such thoroughness and high quality today function in testimony to his commitment to humanity. These include educational institutions, medical centres, public utilities and much more.

These projects distinguish Sathya Sai Baba as a Supreme Being that walked on earth.

His wit and wisdom distinguished him from the others.

It was his ability to come down to mundane levels of people and instantly rise to the pinnacle of sagacity of Acharyas, philosophers and thinkers that made him one of the Greatest persons ever lived on this planet.

He established the Sathya Sai Organisation, a spiritual body, for the benefit of all mankind. It makes no distinction or separateness based on religion, nationality, colour or creed.

All around the world, members of Sathya Sai Centres, consisting of people of different faiths and ethnic groups seek spiritual uplift by dedicating their time and energy for the betterment of mankind.

Sai Baba laid the fundamental objective of the Organisation, to Awaken in man the awareness of the Divinity inherent in him by propagating, through practice and example, the basic principles of Truth (Sathya), Righteousness (Dharma), Peace (Shanti), Love (Prema) and Non-Violence.

The greatest tribute that we can pay to him is to continue the good work and assist every human being in need.
