Humm FM announces high rating in Auckland Indian Radio Market

Humm 106.2 FM has risen to the top of the Auckland Indian market, since it started broadcasting on March 23, 2011.

Not yet seven years old, Humm FM is reaching new heights and is perched at the top of the nation’s biggest market, Auckland.

Auckland’s only Hindi FM radio station not only leads in the 10+ Cumulative audience, but has also increased commercial station share by 0.5 percentage points on the previous survey, and currently sits at *2.7% – the highest it has garnered in the 3 surveys released in 2017.

The recent survey also reveals that listeners are glued to their favourite Hindi FM radio station for a significantly longer period#.

Some facts from the latest GfK Radio Audience Measurement S3 2017 commercial radio survey:

Humm 106.2 FM is number 1 in the Auckland Indian Radio market with 49,200 different listeners each week.

While Humm FM is Number 1 in the Auckland Indian Radio market, its commercial station share in the 18-34 age bracket (5.0%) and 25-44 age bracket (5.7%) – puts it at Number 8 in the entire Auckland market, among all other radio stations in Auckland.

(The top seven for people 18-34 being Mai FM, Flava, ZM, The Edge, Breeze, More FM and Rock; and for 25-44-year olds being Mai FM, The Edge, ZM, Flava, Rock, More FM and Breeze)

Humm FM’s commercial station share (%) by demographic has constantly gone up in the three Official GfK Surveys conducted in 2017: from 2.1 (in S1 2017) to 2.2 (in S2 2017) to 2.7 (in S3 2017).

In S3 2017 – the average time Spent Listening on Humm FM is 9:04# Hours per week, up from 6:78 Hours per week an increase of 28.5%.
