“Owners of small companies often find it difficult to concentrate on business and meting their financial obligations. They need the assistance and guidance of professional accountants and management consultants,” he said.

His company is sponsoring the Best Professional Business Award.

Mr Sharma said every enterprise needs the services of professionals in good and bad times, since the importance of good corporate governance does not change with the economic climate.

“All businesses need the services of professional managers, accountants and business consultants to sustain productivity and profitability. They need to write and practice a good business plan and keep pace with the market trends. Those keen on improving their market share must seek the services of professional organisations; it is a small price to pay,” he said.
