Drive yourself- Moshims Plaza.jpgFor the past several years, Indian Newslink and Radio Tarana have been the exclusive print and radio source for promoting the specials at Moshims Discount House retail outlets located in various parts of the country.

The opening of the 13,000 Sq M Moshims Plaza in Auckland’s Mt Roskill on June 20 inaugurated a new chapter in shopping, with hundreds of items sold at low prices for the benefit of the community.

“We would like the members of the community to afford quality products within their budget and we are committed to serving them,” Managing Director Mohammed Hasim Khan has always said.

Now, extending that concept, the company will have a Super Special Offer every day of the working week from December 1.

The Day’s offering will form a special slot on Radio Tarana during the Drive Show (4 pm to 8 pm) hosted by Satend Sharma.

“It could be any item – perhaps the Moshims Brand Jasmine Rice 29 kg bag offered at $29.99, down by $10 from $39.99 or Cashew Nuts on a similar offer; the idea is to help our people shop well during these hard times,” Mr Hasim Khan said.

“It would be one product a day, carefully chosen to help the common people. The announcements would go on throughout the Drive Show and thereafter, until 10 pm.

“The special offering would be valid until the close of business hours on that day or until stocks last, whichever is earlier. Shoppers must mention Radio Tarana to get the benefit of the special price,” he said.

Mr Hasim Khan will also announce in this newspaper and the radio station, specials at the Moshims Restaurant, which is now operational at Moshims Plaza.

Over the years, Moshims Discount House has established a reputation for marketing a wide range of groceries, spices and bulk food.

These are sourced from manufacturers, processors, wholesalers and importers and the company’s ability to purchase them in large quantity accrues better rates, which are passed on to customers.

Which is why, almost all items including salted or plain cashew nuts, almonds, dry fruits and an extensive range of other products are offered at prices that can never be matched by other larger supermarkets in the country.

“High quality at low price is our mantra.

“Encouraging people to buy items which they overlook in other places because of the high costs at which they are sold is one of the objectives of Moshims Discount House.

“It is our customers who patronise our growth and expansion and hence they must be rewarded constantly,” Mr Hasim Khan said.
