An Auckland based migrant support centre is seeking volunteers to assist migrants with a series of settlement services including employment in New Zealand.

Auckland Regional Migrant Services (ARMS) Charitable Trust Settlement Support Coordinator Bevan Chuang said applicants should be New Zealand citizens, permanent residents or with Work-to-Residence status.

“Our Volunteer scheme is aimed at assisting people with pathways into employment.

“But areas of assistance include Communications and Public Relations, Information Systems, Regional Projects for New Comers, Settlement Support Services, Refugee Services and Customer Services,” she said.

Ms Chuang said volunteers should express their interest by registering online www.arms-mrc.org.nz or by email reception@arms-mrc.org.nz

They may also call (09) 6252440 or visit the Resource Centres located at Three Kings, Manukau and North Shore.

“All applicants must attach a copy of their passport or their work permit status with the application form. Recruitment will be based on availability, skills and competency,” Ms Chuang said.
