India invites buyers to international expo

Travel and accommodation up to 75 visitors

India invites buyers-a view of the expo.jpgThe Madhya Pradesh Laghu Udyog Nigam Ltd (MPLUN), a State Government sponsored enterprise and the New Delhi based Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) will host up to 75 international buyers selected to visit the MP Exportech 2010, scheduled to be held in Gwalior from January 16 to 18, 2010..

The Commerce and Industry Ministry of the Union Government and the Madhya Pradesh (State) Government are sponsoring the annual event.

CII Head of International Fairs Virendra Gupta said the forthcoming expo would focus on Handicrafts, Handloom and Textiles; Ayurvedic Herbal and Pharma products; Small Machine Tools and Spares, Processed Food; and Stone Craft and Building Materials. 

“The prime objective is to establish firm linkages between international markets and export industries of Madhya Pradesh.

“MP Exportech 2010 will bring together manufacturers, sellers, exporters and international buyers and provide international trade and marketing exposure to export-oriented products of Madhya Pradesh,” he said.

He said MPLUN will host 75 buyers, providing them return economy airfare, accommodation (for two nights), local hospitality and transportation.  

“Exportech 2009 accounted for 140 exhibitors from Madhya Pradesh from the focused categories.  One-to-one meetings between buyers and sellers and panel discussions were part of the event,” Mr Gupta said.

Intending participants must register their expression of interest by filling up the prescribed form that can be downloaded from www.mpexporters.in

Forms must be submitted on or before December 15, 2009 and registration does not guarantee automatic selection.
