A well-organised Awards Night sparkles

It was a pleasure judging the entries and I hope the feedback we provided was helpful to the companies - finalists and non-finalists alike.

The Gala dinner was a magnificent celebration - well done - I know you put in a huge amount of effort to organise the entire business awards.

Every one of our guests was full of praise for the food and arrangements. It was superbly done, very orderly, professional and classy. The venue, the flow of the programme, the classical dances performance were superb. John Campbell was fantastic and with the presence of so many dignitaries, IBA has set a high standard.

Lawrence Pereira, Marketing Director, Millennium Foods Limited, Auckland

The Awards Night has again given lifelong memories to all of us who attended the event at Stamford Plaza Hotel. We congratulate you and all those who worked tirelessly to make this happen. It was of course a very happy moment to be from the winning team but more than that, it was a feeling of pride that overcame us on seeing so many from our motherland who have made their mark here in their adopted country and who were recognised for their contributions.

Congratulations to Indian Newslink on its tenth anniversary and for organising the Second IBA.

Navin Sharma, Principal, Murray Sharma & Associates Limited, Auckland

We greatly enjoyed working with Indian Newslink on this event - challenges such as this do add a certain spice and excitement to things that we all thrive on, and it is so much easier when we develop such a close rapport with the organiser.

We were certainly pleased as to how the evening went and I think it was one of the best functions that we have had the honour of hosting.

Luckily, we now have twelve months to recover and prepare for next year!

Peter Gee, General Manager, Stamford Plaza Auckland

Congratulations on one of the best Indian Events I have experienced in the last 15 years. The most critical part besides the show was the food - excellent - most people are highly critical of food at most events but food at IBA 2009 was excellent.

The company of good people, the programme and the fluency of the show was stupendous. Keep up the good work.

Robert Khan, Managing Director, Radio Tarana, Auckland

Let me congratulate you for the successful, well-coordinated event. I missed the Awards Night last year. My team was extremely delighted for having us there for the evening.

It has certainly added a big feather in your cap and we are proud of you for your continuing contribution to the Indian community and New Zealand. It was certainly an eye-opener for everyone. I feel very honoured to have taken part. It was a great event. My mother lived in India for more than 30 and I have always had an interest in finding a bit more about India. Therefore, it was great to mix and mingle with a few of the people at IBA 2009.
