Indian Businesses deserve recognition
Indian businesses make a big contribution to the economy and hence deserve recognition.
The National Bank is the sponsor of the ‘Best Medium Business’ category of the Indian Newslink Indian Business Awards (IBA) 2009 to be held on November 16.
We are delighted to be involved. The Awards are one way we can show our support and help acknowledge the role Indian businesspeople play in the community and the New Zealand economy.
The Indian business market is a thriving and vibrant one, and that is good for the business community as a whole.
At the National Bank, we have helped many Indian businesses succeed and we are committed to continuing that support.
The National Bank has a dedicated Migrant Banking team, which specialises in helping new and recent migrants to New Zealand.
The team includes specialist Migrant Business Banking Managers whose role is to help migrants establish and grow their business here.
A big part of our success with the Indian business community comes from having people who are part of that community. For example, many of our Migrant team are migrants themselves. They speak the same language as our customers and understand the issues of starting up a new business and a new life in New Zealand.
We offer more than just banking. For example, we can help by introducing customers to our own business networks and putting them in touch with people who can help them get established.
After all, if our customers succeed, do we. And through our sponsorship of the IBA, we are happy to be able to help celebrate that success.
