National Youth Coordinator appointed

The New Zealand Chapter of the Global Organisation of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO) has appointed Anurag Sharma to the post of National Youth Coordinator.

Acting GOPIO National President Satish Sharma said the appointment was in line with the organisation’s objective to promote programmes and projects involving the youngsters of the Indian Diaspora, including international students.

Anurag Sharma said: “I am currently consulting a number of youth leaders and others to prepare a strategy. I look forward to the support of parents, elders and the youth for the success of our programmes,” he said.
