Indian group elects new officials

Global IndiaNZ, a division within the National Party, has elected a new team of office-bearers to conduct its affairs.

At the Annual General Meeting held in Auckland on April 9, the group elected Prithipal Singh Basra to the post of Chairman.

Anil Channa and Parmjit Singh Dhatt were chosen for the post of Vice-Chairman, while Ram Rai will be the Secretary.

Ashvinder Kaur and Iqbal Singh were elected to the post of Assistant Secretary.

The Meeting voted to create Women’s Wing, and appointed Roshni Golian as the Chair and Gurmeet Kaur Bhatt as the Co-Chair.

National MP Kanwaljit Singh Bakshi claimed that Global IndiaNZ had 300 members, with branches in Auckland, Hamilton, Hastings, Tauranga, Christchurch and Pukekohe.
