Little troubles and pets matter in life

Children and pets bring joy and even meaning and purpose in life, as they do in the case of Jenna Close, our Model of the Fortnight.

Taking life as it comes, this Postgraduate student (Diploma in Early Childhood Education), believes in spreading love, goodwill and laughter wherever she goes and whomever she meets.

“I make the most of every opportunity. Life is too short to have bickering and ill will. I take pride in everything that I undertake and pursue,” she said.

Jenna is apparently a vivacious person with ample enthusiasm and creativity.

“Education is also important as it broadens the mind and fine-tunes life. My passion for children encouraged me to seek qualification in Early Childhood Education, which was after I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Education,” she said.

Jenna adores animals as well and is believed to have a host of pets. We could not say how many cats, dogs and birds that she raises, but we understand she lets them watch when she pursues other interests, including photography, dance and music.

She cited a number of people who were her prime motivators in life, but attributes much of her achievements to her parents.

“My mother is my biggest role model and helps me stay with my feet firmly on the ground, while my father taught me a simple truth – that life consists, not in holding good cards, but in playing those that you hold well. They have taught me to be a good human being,” she said.

Jenna is also fond of her friends, who play an important part in her daily routine.

“I know they will always stand by me and help me move forward,” she said.
