Industry puts Tarana ahead

Research International, the only professional body that rates commercial radio
stations based on their listenership has placed Radio Tarana as the topmost
among Indian radio stations in the Greater Auckland region and as the leader in
the language broadcasting segment throughout the country.
The independent and impartial survey is the only recognised rating, based on
which advertising value is determined.
It said Radio Tarana had 3.3% of the commercial radio market share and achieved
the No 1 Status for the highest time spent listening Auckland station (10 hours
26 minutes weekly) in April 2010.
With over 42,000 listeners weekly in Auckland, the station also retains its No 1
spot as the premier Language Broadcaster in the country.
The Survey leaves Radio Tarana lonely in its segment, with virtually no
competition.
