Indian classical and Jazz Fusion

An Indian classical and Jazz Fusion event with famous Jazz musicians and Indian classical singers and musicians will be held this weekend in Auckland.
The show ‘Anhad’ will be held on July 23 at 6 pm.

It will open with an Indian Classical Khyaal sung by Baljeet Kaur followed by a Jugalbandi with Anand Thakore (Mandolin) and Manjit Singh (Tabla).

Daljeet Kaur will perform Semi-Indian Classical Thumri and Dadra which will lead to a Tabla recital by Manjit Singh and his student Gurpreet Singh.
The show proceeds will go to the Indo-Western Fusion by ’Raag Time.’ The band comprises famous musicians such as Ben Fernandez on Keyboard, Manjit Singh with Tabla, Jo Shum on Bass, Ron Samsom on Drums and Andrew Hall on Saxophone, with Kishori Telang and Moushumi Das on vocals.
