Job consultant sets foot into real estate market

People in Business

A Correspondent –

People in Business-Munish BhattAfter working for more than a decade for Ministry of Social Development (MSD) Munish Bhatt has recently joined Barfoot & Thompson Dannemora as a Residential Sales Consultant.

In his previous role with New Zealand government, he delivered the very best professional and personal services to his clients to help with their settlement and employment needs.

Mr Bhatt is in the process of building his reputation in real estate industry, bringing with him more than two decades of outstanding sales, marketing, fundraising and branding experience with various multinational and local companies.

Realtors’ minefield

He realised that real estate transactions are akin to walking through a minefield.

“There are 99 problems that can go wrong in a single real estate transaction. A good realtor predicts problems ahead of time and takes care of them and ensures that they do not affect clients. It is a part of representing people. It is a unique job that requires strong work ethics and a true heart for our clients. You are like a conductor, guiding a group of resources towards a final goal: the sale of the house.

Mr Bhatt believes that Masters in Business and Diploma in Marketing Management qualifications give him an added advantage over competitors.

Marketing is the heart of real estate business and only a skilled marketer knows how to effectively use the ‘Four Ps of marketing-mix to achieve best possible price for one of the biggest sales you will ever make.

Editor’s Note: The term ‘Marketing Mix’ was coined by Neil Borden in his American Marketing Association Presidential Address in 1964. The term has evolved to become the prime requisite for every person involved in marketing a product or service. The Four ‘Ps’ are Product, Price, Place and Promotion.

Fine attributes

Amongst the strengths of Mr Bhatt are his professional attitude and the ability to listen and understand clients’ needs. He is a successful negotiator and problem solver. As well as being a committed and hard-working person, he believes that integrity, trust and honesty are paramount to the success of any transaction.

Extensive spread

The unique structure of Barfoot & Thompson and its 67 offices located throughout Auckland facilitate Mr Bhatt to list and sell anywhere without the usual restrictions of franchise companies.

“It is not uncommon to have any one of the 1000 diversely cultured salespeople within the company introduce a buyer from anywhere in Auckland, all working together to sell your home. The support is second to none,” he said.

Thoroughly family-oriented, Mr Bhatt is careful to find the right balance between his work and personal life. Quality family time is important to him and he always finds time to listen and connect.

He is also involved in the community. As a Co-Founder of Sports Recreation and Outdoors Trust (SPROUT; please visit www.sprout.net.nz) he aims to educate, encourage, promote and provide opportunities for People of Indian Origin (PIO) in sports, recreation and outdoor pursuits (Indian Newslink, January 15, 2009).

He is also an Executive member of Manukau Indian Association (MIA) and played a key role in coordinating the recent International Yoga Day.

Mr Bhatt recently launched his website (www.munish.co.nz), which allows residents to find out the market value of their homes in the current market and get a free ‘E-Home Report.’
