Joint Venture to promote corporate speakers

A joint venture to assist conference organisers and event managers with celebrity speakers has just been launched between a New Zealand company and an international organisation.

Random House Knowledge, based in Mumbai will offer public speaker programmes in addition to speakers and presenters of international reputation to companies and event organisers in New Zealand.

This is a joint venture between Red Hot Mirchi Consulting Private Limited, the Indian arm of the Wellington based Global Village Unlimited and Random House India of the Random House Group.

Global Village Unlimited Managing Director Raga D’Silva said the services would include corporate training, large-scale public programmes, business guru workshops, motivational speaker events, author tours and literary festivals.

The Company has engaged mountaineer and motivational speaker Mark Inglis to visit various cities in India in connection with the launch.

Ms D’Silva said the partnership would allow her company to build on its existing engagement platforms to provide premium learning experience featuring global thought leaders for audiences around India, South East Asia, China and Hong Kong.

“Not only will our audiences have the chance to gain knowledge from experts through high level guru programmes but also to obtain long term value through our on-going corporate programmes,” she said.

According to Global Village Director Nicola Fenton, who will be overseeing the corporate training programmes and international operations, the new venture provided another opportunity to offer a wider range of customised services and solutions individuals and institutions.

“We are a very proud New Zealand company that has managed to achieve success in India, and believe that our efforts through the years have reaped us rewards with such a large international business recognising our talents and business model,” she said.

Random House India Chairman Sonny Mehta said, “Having successfully launched the Knopf Speakers Bureau for Random House Inc in 2006, I am delighted that the Company can now emulate that offering for new audiences across other Continents,” he said.

Managing Director Gaurav Shrinagesh said the new venture was an extension of the fast-growing brand.

“For our authors it will be an exciting new expansion of our author-care programme and for audiences it will be a unique opportunity to come face-to-face with a series of first class experts in their fields,” he said.
