Kerala IT experts have a programme for you

Officials of fourteen IT companies from the South Indian state of Kerala will be visiting New Zealand later this month in search of business opportunities and possibly consider Memorandum of Understanding and other commercial arrangements with their counterparts in this country.

India New Zealand Business Council (INZBC) is coordinating the visit of this IT delegation led by P H Kurian, Principal Secretary to the Kerala government.

Kerala IT experts- Robert BarkerThe Council has also organised a meeting and networking session on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 4 pm at the office of the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise located at Level 6, 139 Quay Street in Auckland’s Central Business District.

Global connectivity

The delegation is a part of ‘Group of Technology (GTech) Companies,’ which runs its ‘Global IT Connect Programme,’ connecting Kerala based companies with their worldwide counterparts.

INZBC Chairman Robert Barker said that the forthcoming business session will provide a unique opportunity to discuss ‘potential technology-based business and trade’ with the Chief Executives of the visiting companies.

“Discussions will be held on transformational IT solutions being developed in different verticals and possibilities of establishing partnerships and enhancing profitability. Those serious about doing business can have one-to-one sessions,” Mr Barker said and added that the forthcoming visit would be second for an IT delegation from Kerala.

The Mission

The GTech Group also connects with the Kerala State Information Technology Mission, an autonomous nodal IT implementation agency for Department of Information Technology of the State Government.

Established in 1999 as a society under the Travancore Cochin Literary Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act, the Mission provides managerial support to various IT initiatives of the State Government.

Kerala IT experts- LogoThe Mission aims to strengthen the E-Governance, IT infrastructure development and IT enabled services of Kerala with primary responsibilities for E-Governance, Interfacing between the government and the industry and strengthening the IT/ITES industry base.

It also interacts with potential investors, holds promotional campaigns for hard selling the state, ICT dissemination to bridge the digital divide, develops Human Resources for IT and ITES and advises the government on policy matters.
