Model of the Fortnight

You may have seen her walking with Shah Rukh Khan and other Bollywood stars on the Red Carpet at the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) 2011 held in Toronto (Canada) in June.

She was a VIP guest at the glittering ceremony, much to the envy of many.

You may have also seen her performing at dance competitions and shows such as Rockerz and Mr Indianz.

She is a spirited dancer who takes to the stage with natural talent.

And it may not be very long, if she is hailed as a creative artiste, responsible for some brilliant advertising campaigns.

She is currently a Graphic Design and Advertising student at AUT University,

Meet singer, dancer, designer and all rounder Sanya Minocha, our Talent of the Fortnight.

From appearing in talent contests over the radio (Radio Tarana and Apna) to participating in dance competitions, Sanya enjoys every moment of her performances, oblivious to where she is – on air or on stage.

“My singing experience is vast and I enjoy taking part in competitions aiming for the top prize. My interest in the art began at a competition in which I participated when I was 16 years old,” she said.

Sanya has also been involved with the New Zealand Fashion Week for the past two years, working as a VIP host.

The biggest challenge of them all is her recent attachment to the Labour Party. She can be seen in many fund-raisers with a keen eye on the income.

For those who are not aware, she is a Treasurer of the Party’s Local Electorate Committee in the Pakuranga Constituency.
