The Company recently opened a counter at India Big Bazaar in Papatoetoe.
Director V Giri said that qualified staff capable of quick decision- making to address customer issues is a highlight of the Company.
Hard work is not new to Mr Giri. He learnt to work as a teenager, encouraged by his parents, members of the extended family and his boss at Airfreight Limited in Hyderabad, India.
“The journey as a teller began in Thomas Cook, set a milestone as Network Development Manager, took me to American Express in India. Migrating to New Zealand in 2003, I was employed in the same industry. I established Relianz Forex Ltd in 2009, which has grown with a network of six branches,” he said.
AML measures
Following new Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations that came into force on July 1, 2013, Mr Giri has taken a number of steps to ensure compliance. This includes enlisting the services of KPMG, and implementing new front-end software.
“Since its inception, Relianz Forex has been aware of its responsibilities towards Anti-Money Laundering. Without proper ID and verification, we have never allowed any transaction with any person,” he said.
This young entrepreneur constantly seeks opportunities to grow and expand into different parts of the country. Even as that desire gets fulfilled, Relianz has established a company in Australia, with operations set to commence later this year.
“We have always aspired to be in travel and are currently looking at a person with appropriate experience, passion and dedication. If such a person exists, seeking a platform to establish a company and grow professionally, I would like to talk to that person,” Mr Giri said.
