Prime Minister Bill English paid rich tributes to Bala (Venu) Beeram on his strong campaign in Kelston Constituency (Auckland), where he is representing the National Party in the General Election scheduled to be held on September 23, 2017.
"People like Bala make the real difference to our Party and he is the best candidate working in this election campaign. Achievements outlined
Mr English outlined the achievements of the National government over the past nine years and touched upon the initiatives to keep New Zealand growing. He cited investment on infrastructure, education, health and other sectors.
"I am enjoying this campaign," he said.
Tough campaign
Deputy Prime Minister Paula Bennett said that the campaign was getting tough. She also cited the achievements of the National-led government. She excited the audience by singing the Birthday song for Bala whose Birthday is on Friday, August, 18, 2017.
Earlier, Bala said that he has been campaigning on three issues that matter to the Kelston constituents.
Key Issues
"Our people have said that Education, Transport and Law and Order are the issues that master to them most. The National-led Government has already addressed these issues and has pledged to do more if elected to govern on September 23, 2017," he said.
The Kelston Constituency is a Labour forte at the moment but the enthusiasm and energy with which Bala and his supporters and volunteers have been investing in their campaign is being noticed.
However, the serious inroads being made by Labour Party and the equal percentage preference that its Leader Jacinda Ardern has established with Bill English is not lost at this launch held at Kelston College.
