New life commences in paranormal world

If you believe in the paranormal world which often depicts the conquest and possession of evil over good (temporarily at least), you would then give a thorough read of a new novel that is available in E-book format.

Called, ‘Fiji: The Beginning,’ the electronic book by Harun Shah may not be for the weak-hearted, for it narrates the ‘adventures’ of a group of young women who eventuate the birth of Satan as an immortal evil.

Published by UK based Autharium, the E-book is stated to be the first in a series of paranormal fantasy that could, if picturised, become a part of the ‘Fear Files’ episodes on Zee Television.

As well as available through the Publisher’s website (www.autharium.com), the book can be purchased through other online outlets and at www.Amazon.com as a kindle book.

We have not had an opportunity to read the book but author Shah promises readers that it would be a nail-biter.

“The Book blends the cultures and traditions of Fijian multiculturalism in a fictional manner and keeps the readers on edge as I take them into a different world. The story takes place in the laidback atmosphere of Fiji. I hope to build an audience around my new ‘Taming of the World.’ It will provide a thrilling experience,” he said.

Moonless Night

The Book narrates the mythical dark night of Amavasya (New Moon) and the grim warnings of its consequences, which do not deter Maya Smith and her friends from sneaking into the open waters of the South Pacific Ocean. It is a journey that takes them beyond the forbidden boundaries of the little settlement of Momi Bay, a seaside town in Fiji. Bizarre events follow and resurfacing after being lost for three days, they realise the birth of Satan as a mortal. It is too late for witchdoctors to stop the mayhem, as the vengeful soul of Mariam Smith is granted her wishes. The community of Momi Bay plunges into darkness as the unholy descend upon it, creating havoc and disaster. Maya Smith and her friends are reluctant to reveal anything, and vow to keep the secret, even if it meant losing their lives.

Freezing questions

Two witchdoctors in Fiji are reportedly seeking answers to the following questions. Perhaps you may be able to help them.

What if the vengeance of a disgruntled soul, who was shunned for being barren when she was alive, is the reason for the birth of the Devil as a mortal?

What if the Devil intends to be born to tame the mortal world and get rid of the chaos that we have created?

Do you think that the power of the Devil and the vengeful soul will succeed?

“I am happy that the novel has been adapted into a screenplay and I expect filming to start soon. It has been received well in the film industry,” Mr Shah said.

Born in Varandoli in Ba, Mr Shah graduated from Xavier College and launched his career as an Electrical Fitter and Mechanic at the Fiji Sugar Corporation in 1979.

He lives in Maple Ridge (British Columbia) in Canada, working as a Caregiver for the mentally challenged.

Ï am now editing my second novel titled, ‘Devil’s Brotherhood’ and writing the third and fourth novels from the same series,” he said.
