Brendon McCullum and Corey Anderson are two New Zealand cricketers demanding top dollar in the Indian Premier League auction at the end of the month.

The pair are among 36 players who have listed their base price at the maximum of $430,000.

Expensive Players

Still waiting for his disciplinary or legal charges for the Bristol incident in September, Ben Stokes is among the 13 Indian and 23 overseas players on the highest-price band.

Others include Mitchell Starc, Shikhar Dhawan, Yuvraj Singh, Ravi Ashwin, Ajinkya Rahane, Rashid Khan, Chris Gayle and Eoin Morgan.

The IPL has sent a list of 1122 players to the eight franchises which includes 281 capped players and 838 uncapped players, including 778 Indians and three players from the Associate nations.

Stokes on top

One name at the top of their wish-list for the clubs will be Stokes. The allrounder became the most expensive overseas player bought at an IPL auction when Rising Pune Supergiants paid $3.5 million.

Stokes lived up to the hype by helping Pune to the final, which they lost to Mumbai Indians, as he earned the Player-of-the-Tournament award in his maiden IPL.

The most overseas entries in the auction came from Australia with 58.

There are 30 New Zealand players on the list including Kane Williamson, Trent Boult, Mitchell McClenaghan, Tim Southee, Colin Munro and Tom Latham.

Last year Trent Boult was bought by Kolkata for just over $1 million.
