Our Award Winning Master of Ceremonies

We are happy to announce that Michelle Pickles, one of the most popular television personalities on TV3 will be our Masters of Ceremonies at the Eighth Annual Indian Newslink Indian Business Awards 2015.

Ms Pickles will entertain more than 1000 guests expected to attend this year’s event scheduled to be held at Sky City Convention Centre in Auckland City from 5 pm on Monday, November 23, 2015.

Out Stars

She joins an impressive list of Masters of Ceremonies, who in the past have included John Campbell, Caroline Robinson, Jackie Clarke and Michelle A’Court.

Ms Pickles has been a 3News Sport presenter, Reporter and Producer since 2002 and has covered many major events, including the Beijing and London Olympics, Melbourne, Delhi and Glasgow Commonwealth Games, 2007 Rugby World Cup (but we will try to forget that one!), America’s Cup, numerous Rowing World Championships, Ironman World Championship and the Warriors v Sea Eagles 2011 NRL Grand Final.

Skating Champion

A former roller figure skating champion and New Zealand representative, she knows sports from big to small. Michelle is also a former six time New Zealand Roller Figure Skating champion and represented New Zealand at six World Championships.

An Aucklander with a graduate degree in Communication Studies, Ms Pickles spent five years with TVNZ on shows including Telstra Business, Breakfast, Midday, Tonight and One News before switching channels to TV3.

Married to Trevor Swan, who runs his own engineering business, she enjoys travelling and shares her husband’s love of American Muscle Cars. Her pride and joy is a 1959 El Camino which is currently under restoration. The restoration may continue until she wins lotto!

Rowing New Zealand has paid tributes to Ms Pickles, saying that she is articulate, knowledgeable and humorous.
