Our Business Awards provide great experience

Our Business Awards provide-Jay ChanglaniJay Changlani –

In my last issue (July 15, 2015), I wrote about the importance of business plans.

It is now time to focus on the Indian Newslink Indian Business Awards and what they can do to your business.

Recently, one of my clients won a prestigious painting award for his work in the Wellington region. He said that filing entries was a fantastic experience and that it significantly raised his organisation’s profile.

Good discovery

His business gained the industry media coverage, opportunity to connect with a wider audience. One of the requirements of the Award was to complete the SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threat) analysis, which helped him to uncover his strengths and competitive advantages and also highlighted areas of improvement.

One such prestigious Awards Programme is the Indian Newslink Indian Business Awards 2015. Established in 2008 to recognise business successes in New Zealand, the Awards are one of a kind for the Indian business community.

The Awards Presentation Ceremony held in November has been hailed as ‘bigger and better’ year after year.

Prime Minister John Key, Member of Parliament Phil Goff (representing Labour), the then India’s High Commissioner to New Zealand Ravi Thapar, Auckland Mayor Len Brown, BNZ Chairman John Waller and BNZ Managing Director Anthony Healy were among our Guests of Honour last year.

More than 900 businesspersons, consultants and professionals were present at the Awards Night, which included cocktails, dinner, speeches and entertainment.
