Our People: Tony Chaudhary and his Team

As we looked for young people who are on the path of success, creating and motivating a team of motivated players, our port of call was inevitably at Bayleys East Tamaki, where

Investment Property Sales Executive Tony Chaudhary continues to break new ground in property sales. Janak Darji and Amy Weng are two other members of his team who are proving to be of great asset value.

Mr Chaudhary was recently ranked Number 5 at the National level and topped the South Auckland region within the Bayleys Group for his continued outstanding performance. Accolades, credits and high rankings are not new to him but the young executive always believes that team building and teamwork not only helps in promoting the best interests of an organisation but also helps in fostering individual careers.

Impressive sales

He was recently applauded for property sales valued at about $16.5 million. These included properties at 66-80 Vincent Street, Howick, 196 Great South Road, Papatoetoe,

395 Manukau Road, 589 Manukau Road (Epsom), 202-208 West Coast Road, Glen Eden

51 Huia Road, Otahuhu, 12 Station Road, Manurewa and 492-500 New North Road, Kingsland.

Economic commentaries and statistics can be confusing. On the one hand, we hear that the property market in Auckland is cooling off under the influence of Reserve Bank of New Zealand regulations affecting mortgage loans but on the other, there is perceived shortage of property in the City.

It is true however that sale of commercial property has taken a hit in recent months, with a slower-than-expected movement, at least in some prime areas. Vendors complain of long waiting periods as real estate agents and property dealers do their best to strike the best combination of speedy deals at the right price.

The Rising Star

Tony Chaudhary’s proven strategies for attaining outstanding results for his commercial property clients have seen him rise through the ranks of the Bayleys group over the last seven years. Consistently ranked among the company’s Top 5% of agents nationwide, he regularly deals with individual property owners, corporate clients, high-profile national retail groups and key international property clients.

The Team

Mr Chaudhary has grown exponentially on the back of repeat and referral business, record sales prices, a changing market, and clever solutions to his clients’ property challenges.

His personal sales team includes Janak Darji, a Bachelor of Property graduate and Amy Weng, who is completing her Commerce Degree.

Efficient Service

Mr Chaudhary and his team efficiently service a growing national and international client base, which values their diligent work, intelligent marketing strategies and proven negotiation skills that Mr Chaudhary has consolidated.

He invests significant time and energy to ensure that every avenue is pursued to find the right buyer for each property for which he is responsible.

His proficiency in Hindi, Punjabi, and English, plus an understanding of Gujarati, allow him to gain people’s confidence and give him the edge in negotiations.

Aided by the reputed brand image of Bayleys, Tony and his team deliver high value real estate service to discerning property owners keen to realise true market value in the competitive marketplace.

Janak Darji

A member of the Bayleys Manukau Commercial and Industrial Sales and Leasing Team, Janak Darji works in a business support role. Business acumen and administrative experience complement his graduate degree in Property.

Keen to learn and with strong communication and information technology abilities, Mr Darji works closely with potential tenants and buyers ensuring that they are well-informed of market variables, recent leasing and sales deals, and new listings. As well as English and Hindi, Mr Darji is proficient in Gujarati, his native language.

He recognises the inherent value that he can add to clients’ property dealings. He has the advantage of mentoring and monitoring by Mr Chaudhary and the established market advantages of the Company he represents.

Mr Darji enjoys the challenges that the property world presents and thrives on the fact that no two days are the same in real estate.

“I recognise that reliability, accountability, strong market knowledge, initiative and integrity are among the qualities most valued by clients. I have a long-term commitment to the real estate industry and I believe in building trusted working relationships with clients,” he said.

Amy Weng

Amy Weng has been working with Mr Chaudhary and Mr Darji as an assistant since April 2014. Ability to converse in English and Mandarin allows her to communicate with people from different cultures. Her bilingualism adds value to the team by expanding its Asian client database.

Earlier, Ms Weng worked part-time at a restaurant and café. The skills that she has gained in the service industry such as promoting good customer relations are now available to the Bayleys Real Estate to provide exceptional customer service.

A good word is always the one that spreads popularity, spelling success and over the years, Mr Chaudhary has not only had repeat customers but also new contacts as referrals.

“Successfully selling real estate is all about providing extraordinary service, hard work and effort. I take pride in every investment I sell and strive to achieve the best possible result from both vendors and purchasers,” he said.
