Police are investigating an aggravated robbery on Heretaunga Street East, Hastings early this morning.
A 77-year-old male is in hospital with serious injuries following the incident.
At approximately 1230 am, two females broke into his home, assaulted the man and stole his vehicle.
Police ask that people keep an eye out for his car which is a green and silver 1996 Toyota Carib station wagon, registration YH6964.
