Politics of Division has backfired-Bainimarama

Prime Minister Josaia Voreqe Bainimarama has said that SODELPA’s ‘Politics of Division’ has backfired on the Party.

His comments followed those made by many against the current government at the SODELPA AGM in Savusavu on Friday, June 28, 2019,

During the meeting, Former Party President Naiqama Lalabalavu labelled the National Federation Party and the Fiji Labour Party as the ‘Vulagi (Visitors) Party.

Newly elected Party Leader Ro Filipe Tuisawau also questioned the removal of the 1997 constitution and called on the government to review the 2013 constitution.

Busy stabbing

Mr Bainimarama said that as the government continues to build Fiji, SODELPA is busy backstabbing and tearing each other apart.

He said that SODELPA cannot even run its own affairs and asked how anyone can expect them to run a Nation under the claim of “Leadership that listens” when they could not even listen to each other.

He said that he is focused on the wellbeing of ordinary people and that the government’s mission is to strengthen the Country and improve the lives of all Fijians.
