PwC adds Optimal Experience to its stable

PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) New Zealand is growing the digital side of its consulting practice with the acquisition of Optimal Experience, a market leading user experience and design consultancy.

Digital fundamentally changes the nature of customer relationships. There are significant opportunities for organisations that use insight to understand the market better and meet the needs of digital customers.

Our acquisition of Optimal Experience places us in a unique position to offer customer experience and digital consulting services from strategy development to execution.

Changing world

Digital is no longer just about technology. It has become shorthand for ‘the world has changed.’ It has brought about a new mind set to doing business, bringing us closer to our customers to give immediate, personalised and collaborative experiences.

Digital is now how we live day-to-day.

We are committed to continuing to change with the market and challenging our business model to offer the services our clients want and need.

Optimal Experience will enhance our consulting capabilities enabling us to work with more clients to help them design a business strategy that is fit for the realities of digital and customer, and then helping them turn these plans into a strategic reality.

Huge difference

Optimal Experience was founded in 2003 and has grown quickly to work with over 250 of the biggest organisations across government, telecommunications, education, finance, travel and e-commerce sectors in Australasia.

Its services range from digital and user experience strategy development to mobile app and website design.

Optimal Experience CEO Kris Nygren will join PwC’s partnership. He believes that his team is blazing a trail.

“This is a huge opportunity for us to make a bigger difference in helping more organisations create and deliver delightful experiences for their customers. We have had a successful consultancy business but want to increase our scale, by gaining access to extensive capabilities and relationships of PwC,” he said.

Bruce Hassall is Chief Executive of PricewaterhouseCoopers New Zealand based in Auckland.
