Quran Classes for children

The Mount Albert Islamic Trust will commence classes in Holy Quran for children from August 6, 2011.

The Classes will be held from 9 am to 11 am at the Mt Albert Senior Citizens Hall, Rocket Park, New North Road (where the Centre has its regular prayers).

An announcement sent to Indian Newslink stated that the Centre would launch its new ‘Hifzul Quran’ (Memorisation of the Holy Quran) classes for the benefit of the younger members of the community.

“The Holy Quran is the verbatim word of the Most Benevolent and the Most Merciful Allah. The Quran was revealed to Prophet Mohammed by Jabril (Gabriel) over a period of 23 years in Makkah and Madina,” an official said.

The Holy Quran refers to itself as ‘Al Furqan’ (The Criterion), ‘Al Hudah’ (The Guide), ‘Dhikr Allah’ (The Remembrance) and Al Hikmah (the Wisdom).

“There is no better way for our children to grow up than following the teachings of the Holy Quran by memorising them,” the official said.

Further information can be obtained from Saadi Sharif.
