The Rainbow Corner Early Learning Centre in Takanini has been selected as a Finalist in this year’s Timber Awards in the category of Interiors Innovation.

The Winner in this and other categories will be announced at the Gala Awards Dinner scheduled to be held at the Grand Millennium Hotel in Auckland on September 20, 2018.

Rainbow Takanini has been recognised for innovative use of wood or a wood panel product as a signature feature, in a predominantly wood building, adding ambience, flair and practicality.

Partnership with Families

Rrahul and Bhavini Dosshi, Directors of the Rainbow Corner Group of Companies and Rainbow Corner Early Education Centres, said that they look forward to the Awards Night.

“We are honoured to be a Finalist in this prestigious Awards Programme. The vision of our Early Childhood Education Centres Programme is to work in partnership with families and the community.  We believe in enhancing the abilities and skills of the whole child, including social, physical, intellectual, communication, and emotional (SPICE) development,” they said.

Rainbow Corner Early Learning Centres are also located in Mangere, in addition to Homebased Early Learning Service networks.

New Facility in East Tamaki

As reported in our May 15, 2018 issue, a multi-million-dollar state of the art Early Childhood Centre with several other facilities is under construction in East Tamaki, with the scheduled opening expected in November 2018.

“It would be a purpose-built childcare facility with a rainforest theme in the playground, café which will cater healthy, unprocessed freshly prepared food to children and a Medical Centre with a dedicated sick bay so that if in an unfortunate situation the child does fall sick they are looked for medical professionals till the time the parents come back from work,” Mr Dosshi said.

Overseas Centre in Mumbai

A Rainbow Corner Early Learning Centre with New Zealand’s ‘Te Whariki’ (Early Childhood Education) Curriculum will be opened in Mumbai on September 15, 2018.

Mr and Mrs Dosshi said that this Curriculum defines how to achieve progress in early childhood learning environments.

“It is founded on the aspirations for children – to grow up as competent and confident learners and communicators, healthy in mind, body, and spirit, secure in their sense of belonging and in the knowledge that they make a valued contribution to society,” they said.

Mr Dosshi said that this Curriculum defines how to achieve progress in early childhood learning environments.

The Mumbai Centre is the beginning of the fulfilment of Mrs Dosshi’s ambition of establishing such places of early learning worldwide.

Understanding Children

With a deep understanding of what makes children tick, her focus has been to help each child develop his or her potential through a healthy mix of educational and recreational activities.

“I believe in a strong community focus-oriented approach besides running a business.

The keen sense of community involvement is one of the strongest pillars of my company. Besides being a good citizen of our country, I would like to see our children become good global citizens. By incorporating ‘green initiatives’ and ‘recycling’ as a part of the curriculum, I believe in inculcating the right attitudes in our children so that they become good global citizens,” she said.

Childcare Catering Services

Mr Dosshi said that the Group runs its own catering services.

“We understand the challenges that come with that come with managing kitchens. While we look after the children at our Childcare Centres, we are also dedicated to providing complete catering solutions to Early childcare centres in Auckland,” he said.

The Rainbow Corner Group of Companies is the Title Sponsor of the Eleventh Annual Indian Newslink Indian Business Awards (November 26), the Eighth Annual Indian Newslink Sir Anand Satyanand Lecture (July 9) and the Fifth Annual Indian Newslink Sports & Community Awards (October 8).
