Search for teenage talent begins

An exclusive show to identify talent among the younger members of the society and select Miss and Master Teen 2010 is due be held in Auckland shortly.

Tanya Mehra, Director of Tanya Arts Entertainment Limited (TAEL) is organising the event, auditions for which will be held on October 7 at Sapphire, a popular pub located at 491 Pakuranga Road in Highland Park, East Auckland.

She said contestants without any experience would also be auditioned since her organisation would provide appropriate training.

“Free training sessions have been designed to help the young to develop and improve their dancing skills, along with other attributes. The training programme would include personality development sessions, health and fitness, photo shoots and several other activities. The youngsters will also learn question and answer techniques and fundraising lessons,” she said.

Ms Mehra said TAEL was keen to accord young trainees international exposure, improve their confidence and self-esteem and raise social awareness.

“We want our youngsters to have leadership skills and promote innovative spirit,” she said.

The winners in the Miss and Master Teen 2010 contest would receive prizes worth $5000, in addition to media exposure.
