Supreme Sikh Council to honour Best Retailer

Supreme Sikh Council-Daljit Singh.jpgThe Supreme Sikh Council New Zealand Inc is sponsoring the Best Retailer Business category of the Indian Newslink Indian Business Award (IBA) 2010.

Chairman Daljit Singh said his Committee had decided to be involved with the Awards Scheme, “because it is the best and the only means of recognising and rewarding success of Indian businesses in New Zealand.”

“There are more than 5000 businesses of Indian origin located throughout the country. While there are scores of manufacturers and service professionals, a majority of our people are in retail business. It is therefore appropriate that the Supreme Sikh Council becomes an active supporter of this important project successfully launched by Indian Newslink,” he said.

Mr Singh said having attended the two Awards Night (held in November 2008 and 2009), he and the Members of his Council were convinced of the high calibre of entries and the ‘supreme quality of the programme.”

He is a candidate for the Community Board in Papatoetoe on Labour Ticket.

Entries to IBA 2010 close on August 31, 2010. A panel of independent judges will thereafter evaluate the entries, determine the finalists and winners and announce their names at the Awards Night scheduled to be held at the Stamford Plaza Hotel on November 15, 2010.

Entry forms can be downloaded from our Awards Website: www.inliba.co.nz
